... delighted that for the first time I can remember, UCLA's web site seems to have divulged the actual kickoff time for a football game. They don't just say "12:30" and leave us guessing about whether it's going to be 12:32 or 12:52. They specify, 12:38.
Especially for home games, it's nice to know the ACTUAL kickoff time. Or did the AD, for many decades, actually figure that people took their phony announced times at face value, which maybe made people a tiny bit more likely to reach their seats in the Rose Bowl before the mid-ppoint of the first quarter?
This might just be a one-off, but I'd like to think that it's a new policy, that for some reason (Chez?, Tim Harris?), the Athletic Department seems to have acquired a slight sense of responsibility about UCLA's football fans.
