In Reply to: Re Nico. (no opinion offering) I read on CBS that he did not come posted by azbruin on October 11, 2026 at 15:51:32

Here it is Sunday afternoon, and I just watched the game (went to San Diego for a concert on Saturday). I'm very excited we won.

BUT, now that I've read the board all the way back to the beginning of the game, I was all ready to come and say something about all the negative comments about Nico's sideline demeanor after he came out of the locker room in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Since the issue was raised here, azbruin, in addition to the several comments about it now on previous BZFF pages, I'm going to make my comment here instead of starting a new thread:

I don't believe for a minute that Nico was "pouting" or pissed off or sulking or anything else of the sort. It's very possible that his leg injury was hurting him, and that it was HIS wish to come out and be on the sideline with his teammates. It's also very possible that the 2nd cheap-shot-should-have-been-penalized blow to the head and neck by the Oregon player made his head and neck hurt a lot.

Sometimes I think we're too quick to criticize players and coaches for what we see in short snippets of on-camera time, when we might very well known little or nothing of the real story.

I, for one, am hopeful that our starting quarterback will be healthy and ready to go next week in Mad City.

GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
