I threw that hypothetical up becuz it was meant to have posters here go to the mat and quantify how they felt about Nico finishing the final 7 regular season games vis-a-vis the same quantification for the complement of Dief, Madden and Gumino (yes, the correct spelling).
How they honestly felt during and after the great upset win over The Quackers. Subliminally, after their emotions expressed in posts during and after the game. I'm no Nico fanboy, but I felt the potshots taken at him on this Board were largely in the heat of the moment. Of course, he didn't do enuf to lose his starting role.
A lot of BZers responded in this thread, and it was clear the heat of the moment had somewhat passed. I only responded to azbruin, becuz he threw down a schizophrenic response that seemed to encompass every aspect of both sides of the argument.......which I liked.
Nico is no posterboy, but after a day's reflection, even the most irritated BZ posters weren't ready to toss him overboard...................at least, for now :).
