This staff has done a GREAT job of improving almost every guy on the team.
For one, this is the FASTEST Bruin O talent, end to end, that I think I have ever seen. At the college level, that is such a difference maker. There are a lot of LBs and DBs who are just "fast", not freakishly fast. We got a lot of freakishly fast guys on O: Knight, Rowe, Morgan, Thomas, Woods, Ellis, Mizell
Every one of those guys is a house call. Every run play is a potential game breaker. 2 minute O...yes, call a running play! We can gash for 30 yds in a few seconds. Call a screen play, like the Pats did the other night. The whole playbook is open when you're just faster than the other guys.
Speed is to a certain extent dependent on each player's make up...but the training and conditioning has helped the other guys on the team (like the OL) maximize their potential. OL who are more mobile than the D make for unreal advantages when they get into the 2nd level of the D.
The D is playing with great confidence because they know the O can score in the blink of an eye. So they're attacking and playing with no pressure.
It's like the ultimate upward spiral right now. So fun!
