They won't. Pre-war there was some Russian support in Ukraine. Now there is zero.

It doesn't matter what the majority of people in this country want. Trump goes back and forth. For a while, he removed intelligence flights and missiles to Ukraine.
Europe helped make up part of the loss.
Trump then renewed more missiles and added secondary sanctions, which caused India to stop buying oil/gas from Russia.
I strongly suspect Rubio supports Ukraine whenever Trump starts to focus on a different shiny object in the news. You can see it in how he overly praises Trump whenever Trump supports Ukraine.
