In fairness, IU Indianapolis is getting rid of religious studies.

Ball State and IU Bloomington are merging or eliminating it.

The premise of this law is to remove or consolidate majors that have a poor census. For example, there are very few math majors at any college, but to say we don't need that skill set in our state is moronic. It's what makes them more valuable to a state.

If anything, you want to keep unique skill sets, especially in STEM and K to 12 education, since they are hardest to find. How hard is it going to be to find a biology, chemistry, or physics teacher when you've removed the biology, chemistry, and physics education BS majors?
