For the past week or so, Ukraine has turned the tables, taking a few miles in 2 or 3 different regions every day.
This is a stark difference that we have seen from the Russian creep on the front lines for the past 3 years.
For the past month, Ukraine has destroyed train depots, weapons factories, refineries, gas/oil, storage facilities, chemical factories, and command and control. I believe 2 generals were killed or maimed this week. One Lt. General was ambushed heading to the front, having multiple limbs amputated, and another command staff was HIMARed. This is the second time this region's command staff has been completely taken out.
Around 17% of Russian refinery capacity has been taken out this month. Rather than seeing the 1,000 drone swarms that Ukraine feared, long-range attacks on drone factories have seen a reduction of nightly drone swarms to less than a hundred, with a few peak nights of a few hundred.
That being said, Russia is good at mixing cheap dummy drones with real drones and missiles mixed in.
40% of Russia's budget is spent on the war. Their economy can no longer be sustained without the war, since it's their primary economic activity.
Russia is having to defend a second front against Armenia and Azerbaijan, which have joined after decades of animosity. Ukraine also has an issue of a longer front now that Belarus is threatening to send troops.
Ukraine has developed both a 1,000 km and a 3,000 km cruise missile and is manufacturing them at scale. They are causing logistical and economic harm, Biden prevented them from doing in the past.
Saudi Arabia is offering to sell India cheap oil since 40% of its oil was bought from Russia until recent sanctions.
Ukraine gave Hungary and Slovakia the middle finger by destroying their pipeline from Russia. Ukraine just destroyed Russia's biggest liquid gas refinery, which was defended only by small arms. Putin's house however, has 12 anti-air defense vehicles surrounding it.
