Pulte anonymously joined a bunch of stock sites, including the Reddit one and pretended to be joe random stock investor. He then started posting about this great stock he'd found that he thought could be the next Gamestop, which in an amazing coincicende was the stock for the Pulte family business in which he had TONS of shares. He started hyping the stock on multiple boards and posting about it on X. Online sleuths thought it was suspicious and eventually figured out who he was, outed him, and forwarded complaints for insider trading and pump and dump to the SEC.
Of course as a multi millionaire nothing happened to him just like it never does to Elon or Trump when they do pump and dumps.
