For all Trump's whinging about weaponizing the Justice Department, he is the one doing it. Garland was too institutional and timid about prosecutions with political overtones, but Trump wants his AGs to prosecute bullshit cases against his political enemies. Or overcharge cases against dissidents. Just look at all the cases Trump's DoJ is losing in front of juries and grand juries.
