which readily dissociate into ions, i.e. H+, in aqueous solutions, significantly reducing pH.

Another problem is they're very stable organic compounds (100s to 1000s to degrade) due to the very strong Carbon-Fluorine covalent bonds.

If RFK Jr wasn't such a moron, he would be looking at PFAS to see if there is any link to autism.
We know they are linked to defects in fetal and child development.
