Yet another historically respectable institution falls to the systematic authoritarian capture of the seven mountains, in progress. Right wing hack Bari Weiss is now in control of CBS News, previously home to the likes of Edward R Murrow and Walter Cronkite.

This is, of course, straight out of the modern dictator's playbook, as revised and updated by Putin himself.
