This early before the election, since elections are now national, the primary metric for how successful the Dems will be in the next election is Trump's popularity.
That's why that number is essential.
If Trump is on the ballot, most of those numbers are in the margin of error. Since Trump always performs better than his polls suggest, there is a -3% projection to a tie if he were on the ballot because of his pull.
When Trump is not on the ballot, the GOP does worse overall on average.
