• 56-hour weekend closure as part of the $511.1 million U.S. Highway 50 (US 50) Multimodal Corridor Enhancement “Fix50” Project. Beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, October 10, through 5 a.m. on Monday, October 13, the eastbound US 50 to northbound State Route 51 (SR-51)/Business Interstate 80 and southbound SR-99 connectors are scheduled to close. The project includes $90 million from SB 1. Outreach continues with traffic alerts, robust social media, and construction videos. Social videos have been pushed out on the closures to show the work and explain detour options. This regular cadence allows the traveling public to better understand where the closures are and how to navigate them. Project partners are ensuring that they are regularly spreading the word through their channels.
*All work is scheduled to begin as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and other construction related issues.
