The White House is the people's house, it belongs to the country. Each president is merely the caretaker for the next occupant...
Oh, yeah, that was before...
I keep thinking the images will eventually resonate with the American public. Government agents snatching people off the street... the tariffs, imposed willy-nilly.... the weaponization of the Justice Department... the outright corruption.... those things seem distant. People can ignore those things....
But the destruction of The White House feels different: it's visual and it may get through to some people who would otherwise shrug off the bigger problems...
