In the suit he says they falsely claimed Russians were meddling in the 2016 election, which we know they WERE doing, literally his campaign manager went to jail over this(Manafort).
He claims they violated his privacy in 2024 by "raiding" MAL looking for classified documents. They FOUND CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS there. He had been stalling and lying about it for a year and had failed to comply with court orders and lied saying he'd given them all back when he hadn't.
So the case is clearly preposterous but he will win. Why? Because the rules are any such lawusuit asking for more than 4 million has to be decided by the Assistant head of the DOJ. So Bondi doesn't get to decide it but who does? Todd Blanche, Trumps personal lawyer who literally DEFENDED HIM ON THE CASE! So surely Blanche will recuse himself right? Of course he won't. So he will rule in Trumps favor and the US taxpayers will pay 230 million to a guy who stole classified documents, some of which are still unaccounated for(the empty folders) and committed all these felonies.
