I had no clue that this specific skull and crossbones image had any Nazi origins. This is honestly the first I've ever heard of the "totenkopf" and I took the Third Reich and the Jews class at UCLA. I'll judge the guy by his actions over the past decade as opposed to a tattoo he received years ago while drunk.

Hell, even if he knew it at the time, people change. My Korean aunt was a skinhead punk as a messed-up teen (odd, I know) and has some unseemly tattoos and now she's a leftist animal rights advocate.
