For example:
- A ridiculous performance by Ohtani: two homers, two doubles, and five walks. He was on base nine times, setting a WS record and tying the MLB record for all games.
- Close plays at every base: a guy thrown out at the plate, another sliding in safe at home; another guy thrown out at third base, and another barely getting in safe at third; plus a put-out at second base and a crucial close call at first base! Plus a guy casually walking to second base and getting tagged out because of a bad call by the umpire. I've never seen a game with such base-running and so many great throws, too!
- And the Dodger bullpen (minus Treinen) was terrific. Who expected that? And what about Klein - who IS that guy? He's at the end of the bullpen.... the last option before grabbing one of the starting pitchers... he hadn't pitched more than two innings since college, and then he goes four innings to win a WS game!
- And Freddie Freeman did what Freddie does. I believe he is the only guy who has hit two walk-off homers in the World Series (and the first was a grand slam, to boot!).
Just too much to digest, all I can say is: I agree with you, what a game!
