A lawyer representing the Trump admininstration said in a courtroom today that there would be no legal recourse if they started bulldozing the Statue of Liberty. This was during a hearing related to the Presidential vandalism of the East Wing of the White House to build Trump's grandiose ballroom. It was in response to a judge's hypothetical, but they nevertheless said this gift from people in France and the United States could be destroyed at the President's whim. All it would require would be to get bulldozers to the site before a lawsuit could get to the courthouse.
