(Korea's football association) online and not that I've been following the (mis)fortunes of Korean soccer, but the beef some fans appear to have with the federation seems to go deeper than this one game performance.
Turkey played really well during the qualifying rounds and was loaded with talent at key spots, but came to the cup convinced that they could fart their way to win the group and when reality hit with its one-two punch, they neither had the composure or the strategic know-how to dig themselves out of the hole. Just like what you're saying about the Korean team, the perception back home was that this team was much better than the 2002 team on paper.
I am personally chalking this up to bad line-up and tactical choices by the manager as well as his inability to bring the team back to the ground in the build up to the cup, paired the team's inexperience at this level, and potentially some serious political mangling that takes place around this team.
I'm sure you'll find plenty of insights on reddit (underneath the lashing out) as I did when I was stunned by how badly the team performed in the first two games.
