Technically a constitutional crisis is when the courts and executive are at odds but in this case I think it still is one. The Constitution is quite clear elections are controlled by the state, NOT POTUS. if SCOTUS now says nevermind he can determine who can vote by mail and who can't and he gets to control the voting list, they are saying the Constitution is wrong.
They didn't support him on the 14th but several of them did, I don't think we can count on them to do the right thing this time either.
If they side with him, it gives him the authority to stop mail in voting, less than 100 days before the election which would result in abject chaos.
I've mentioned this before my sister worked for Santa Clara County elections for decades before retiring, she did the ballot layouts. She was pretty clear today if they allow this, there is literally no way the midterms can be held, fairly, in November. There just isn't time to do all the stuff that would have to be done, and again we already know the list he wants to use, is not accurate. Texas has already been nailed twice for using it knowing it wasn't accurate.
