The thing I don't understand is how anyone that has a daughter or granddaughter could subscribe to a world view where women are marginalized to such a degree. Is that what you want for them? Really??
I think it's just an especially pernicious aspect of evangelical christianity, or, probably more accurately stated, "what passes for evangelical christianity in America these days".
What's wrong with these people?
