I plan to do #1 but make sure you put it in a box that's inside so it is harder to tamper with. Republican right wing sites are literally posting videos on how to set fires in vote by mail boxes. Many of the drop boxes were altered to make it harder to drop something in because in 2024 we had an issue with fires, people were putting newspaper or other pieces of paper lit on fire and dropping them in.
