As has been said, you get confirmation. But we didn't get co firmation for about 12 days. It's not like those boxes are emptied every night. Meanwhile, we've all seen reports of attempts to sabotage those unattended drop boxes.
In our view, ballots in the drop boxes are simply at risk for too long.
The safest bet is to drop off the ballot at a voting center, where the ballot box is constantly attended and your ballot gets collected with the walk-in ballots.
