A new St. Pete Polls survey found Trump-endorsed gubernatorial nominee Byron Donalds leading Democratic nominee David Jolly by just 1 point, at 44% to 43%. It also found that GOP Sen. Ashley Moody—who was appointed to finish the term of now-Secretary of State Marco Rubio—is tied with Democratic nominee Angie Nixon at about 45%.
Meanwhile, the new congressional map seems unlikely to give Republicans the edge they had hoped for, with polls showing Democrats leading in the 14th District and tied with Republicans in the 22nd District and 27th District—all of which Trump won by more than 10 points in 2024.
