Markets are green today and oil is down 1% after rumors out of NY overnight said the US and Iran are close to agreeing to a temporary truce that would begin with Iran opening the Strait and the US removing their blockade.
No specifics. Iran when asked about the rumor said it's up to the US when this war ends the Iranian stance has not changed, in other words if they do a deal for a truce it's going to be very similar to the deal that's been discussed repeatedly for months now where Trump bends over and gives them everything they want and then Trump declares victory.
Ironically last night before the rumor hit, it was being widely discussed that Trump was considering just declaring the war over and moving on with the idea he'd handle it like he did Covid, not do anything push all the responsibility on to others, and then undermine and blame them
I guess that idea didn't poll well so plant a truce rumor
