Arguing with a guy online who insists the Constitution does NOT give authority over elections to the states. He cited a long cut and paste that very clearly says Congress has the authority to pass laws that override election rules created by states. This is 100% true, this is why Trump wanted the SAVE Act passed by Congress, it would override the states refusing to cooperate it would be a law that supersedes state law. The problem is Congress didn't pass it, they didn't even vote on it.
First he argued that Trump and SCOTUS are part of the Feds as are Congress so it's the same. He eventually somewhat conceded that yes Trump and SCOTUS are NOT Congress and the part he cut and pasted said Congress.
So now he's arguing that SCOTUS supersedes that, if SCOTUS says something then that's the law, even if it literally says in the Constitution that it's Congress that passes the law, SCOTUS can override that.
So essentially he's aruging SCOTUS can find the constitution is not constitutional
