Minnesota state Senate Republican candidate Andrea Zupancich when asked about supporting Trump's trade war:
“How can we stand behind the trade war? We need to open up. We need to be able to make sure that America comes first, and I believe he is 100% behind our steelworkers. He is behind what we're trying to do, or what he's trying to do. We're trying to get America to grow again. It's gonna take growing pains. Everything takes time. Definitely is state funding needs, and it's unfortunate to see all that money coming from Big Pharma. I don't know who Big Pharma is. I don't work. I don't work for a hospital. I, so I really couldn't tell you... So, I guess that's all I got to say. Like I, I, I, it's sad. It's sad. It comes down to money. It's sad. It comes down to that when you're playing with people's lives. But here's where I am at. I am for the people. I am for the district, and that is how I'm always gonna vote.”
