I could have 100% confidence it was appropriate. How you're getting to that point is a longer conversation though.
I will say this from my own professional experience, people do bad things to each other, really bad things. It's more common than most people think, much more common. There are cases, lots of cases, where you're 100% certain about the facts and liability. Not 99%, 100%. The arguments are only about the appropriate penalty.
In situations like that, yeah, if it was appropriate, I could do it for a living. Wouldn't enjoy it, wouldn't post about it on FB, but it would be the right thing to do. IMO anyway.
