If you’re looking for an ultra-smart left-leaning political daily on YouTube that incorporates data, current trends, and historical context, I highly recommend Heather Cox Richardson. The link below is an excellent example.
She is concise and focuses on the issues that matter most. She explains what happened, why it happened, and what is taking place in Congress, while also providing the historical background needed to understand the larger issue.
Richardson holds a Ph.D. from Harvard and has taught at both MIT and Harvard. She is currently a professor at Boston College. Her combination of political analysis, data, and historical context makes her particularly useful if you want more than just a daily recap of the news.
I've been going through a few today and they are much richer than what you see repeated most places day to day.
