Criminals like to work together in part I think because they assume a criminal is more willing to cooperate. And if they get caught and rat you out, you just say hey that person is a convicted felon.
The classic when OJ Mayo got caught what did USC say, the guy is a criminal why would you believe him? When the guy in the big NCAA case got caught what did Arizona and other schools say, that dude is a criminal
What does Trump say everytime some criminal accuses him of something, that person is a convicted criminal.
