I was fact checking some of my info and it includes my entire session.
Amazon lost money for nearly two decades before it created a monopoly. The $80 billion cited is misleading; that number stems from a one-time accounting adjustment because the estimated value of Anthropic jumped. In reality, Anthropic' s true operating cost is about $8.3 billion a year.
What Elon doesn't comprehend is that others are throwing money into competing with SpaceX, including Bezos, Canada, and Russia. Since he is politically unreliable, as soon as there is a reasonable alternative, SpaceX will get kicked to the curb.
There will likely be a premium version of AI and a discount version of AI. Anthropic is the most likely to corner the premium market. The scarier thing for Anthropic than losing so much money every year is that most of its revenue comes from only about five customers. Still, if I were going to bet on any company to be worth a trillion dollars, I'd put my money on Anthropic.
