on one subject - aging! - I try more and more to let comments and such slide off and away. I value the posters here so much - they are my friends with whom I can share my love for UCLA and our various sports! That creates a chosen family and since I don't live near campus - and haven't for a number of decades going back more than 50 years now - this group is more and more meaningful to me.
We can all disagree about stuff but we share our hopes for a successful goal in every sport. All the disagreements mean is I have a chance to learn more. But the people with whom one shares a hobby, a focus, goals and hopes that matter to one, that's really important. So I try to keep others apprised of happenings in that sphere and I am always appreciative when others do the same. Why would anyone waste time attacking when one can simply correct the subject and move on?
