am doing this for those who can't get the telecast of the game live or who perhaps missed the moved up game time as rain predicted back there today and want to review this later after the fact, Very tempted - you know my sense of humor - to title this Rain on our Parade but no spoilers (well, as few as possible anyway)

A half inning for the books. First, it began drizzling - a light drizzle. Then Tinsley let a couple batters get on base, hitting one with a pitch. Unfortunately the ball hit the batter on the fingers it looked like and she was in some pain and wound up being escorted back into the dugout. With the bases loaded, Nebraska's pitcher and best hitter, Frahm, on first, the batter hit a grounder back toward second. Frahm ran straight into UCLA's 2nd baseman and interference was rightly called. That wiped out a likely run for Nebraska putting runners at 1st and 3rd. UCLA challenged the ruling, claiming 'malicious intent' on the part of Frahm meaning she intentionally ran into the infielder.

Had the challenge been upheld, Frahm would have been ejected from the game. But it was not. They ruled she was watching the ball and just didn't recover in time to avoid the infielder. So Frahm stayed in the game.

The Bruins intentionally walked the next batter to load the based and get an out at any base, but the hitter singled up the middle into center field and throws were wide leading to three runs coming home for Nebraska, So after three it's Nebraska 3, UCLA 2
