and lost all 3. That doesn't include the ejection of Gasparino, which apparently was umpire initiated but the announcers clearly said the Oregon coach asked for the play to be reviewed.
The NCAA, like MLB, gives teams two challenges per game, and they keep them if a call is overturned; but none of Oregon's challenges were overturned, so they shouldn't have been able to challenge the hit by pitch call.
I can only conclude the play-by-play is wrong and the umpires initiated the review because they didn't want the game to end like that without making sure, which IMO was the right thing to do.
So 4 replay reviews overall, which I think is pretty unusual, especially because UCLA didn't initiate any of them.
However, in a close game, with the conference championship at stake, it also makes sense.
