This is almost exactly right. The one nit is that the actions UConn runs are more complicated than MBA wrote. I assume he did so to prove a point without going into detail. Every action they run has two outcomes — a bunny or a 3. So whereas MBA suggests 3 is a layup, that’s only partially correct. It has an option — a layup, unless the D reacts appropriately or a pass to someone ready to shoot a 3. Oftentimes there is a pick set to get that shot open. Of course they abhor the mid-range game.
