He shot (and made) a lot of FT’s EARLY. Once defenses learned his schtick, he was fouled far less, and also shot them at a diminished percentage. The count isn’t that meaningful.
He was good in steals, but also got beat going for steals at times.
I’m fine with his position dishing assists, but he often kept the ball and flailed rather than pass out. Hopefully he’ll grow here.
Total count in FG’s isn’t important if you’re not hitting at a high percentage.
Rebounds are rebounds. Kudos to him.
Minutes played shows that he was a warrior, and as mention, often while injured. Toughness is not questioned. However, there were limited options on last year’s team, partially responsible for his minutes played.
Mack will get his chance this year to show what he can do on a better team.
