are hardly arcane statistics. Furthermore, they both indicate effort, which is a key component of defensive ability. That's wholly inconsistent with the contention that "Mack did not play good D at all."
The larger point is I don't see Harris taking away Mack's starting role. Maybe Clark does, maybe he doesn't.
No one is taking away Andrews' spot at the point.
But at shooting guard, Mack clearly has the advantage of having played in Cronin's system and having been successful in it.
