This is an early, exploratory question. UCLA plays New Mexico in Henderson, NV on Friday November 8th. Is anyone possibly interested in flying with me to Henderson for the game?
I'm assuming it will be a night game, but even if it's scheduled for late afternoon, it will be night by the time it's over. For that reason, we will plan to stay over there Friday night and come back to L.A. on Saturday (or Sunday?).
A few notes:
1. The flight will be conducted under Visual Flight Rules (VFR), so if the weather forecast isn't conducive to VFR flight we'd have to get there by car or bus
2. I would be able to take 2 adults (depending on weight) plus baggage, or 1 adult and 2 children plus baggage
3. You will be asked to share expenses for fuel and any overnight tie-down fees at Henderson Executive Airport. I am required by FAA regulations to pay my equal share, so, for example, if there are 3 of us, then we would each pay 1/3
4. You would be responsible for your own personal expenses, such as Friday night hotel, meals, local transportation, etc.
5. Departure and return will be from Brackett Field Airport, which is in La Verne right next to the L.A. County Fairgrounds (which are in Pomona)
If you are possibly interested, please let me know by replying here or sending me an e-mail. There's no commitment needed yet, as I'm just gauging interest.
GO BRUINS!
