1) you've watched Kyle in the post getting abused - for opposing teams he's the path of least resistance to score
2) you've watched Mara inside. If they body up on him he's no longer in the post - either outside the paint or too far under the hoop to contribute. It's not as if Cronin hasn't tried with him.
3) Devin Williams is (A) red shirting and (B) even less ready to compete than is Mara.
I get it. I've said it. But it hasn't worked. At all. Cronin has played Bilodeau far, far too much in the post because there are no other options.
Of course that's his fault - or the fault of not having enough money to truly compete for a big time Big Ten post. But the reality is he can't correct the actual prob elm this season. He just has to keep working with his bigs hoping they will get more effective as the year goes along (yes but very unlikely enough to matter) and keep playing Bilodeau out of position and try to get the rest of the players to play harder, smarter and more effectively helping out.
Sounds like a lower middle of the conference pack team to me, sadly
