TONIGHT:
--------
USC is playing at Purdue. The Trojans are not too far from making the NCAA tournament, and I would rather they don't. It's not as if we need another reason to root against USC.
Go Boilers!
St. John's is playing at UConn. They are both seed competitors with us, but I won't root for a Hurley.
Utah State is at Fresno State. We would like Fresno to win, but KenPom sees USU as a 14-point favorite.
TOMORROW:
--------
There are a ton of games, and a lot of games that affect us.
The obvious one is we want to beat Penn State. A loss would be a big blot on our record.
Oklahoma isn't very likely to pass us in the race for seeding, but we would still like to see Tennessee beat them.
Oregon has dropped enough that we are competing with them for a seed. We would like to see Michigan State beat them. (BTW, there are rumors that Dana Altman will hang it up after this season. I will be sad to see him go. A great coach and seemingly a good person.)
There's a small chance we could pass Kentucky for a seed. But they aren't losing to South Carolina.
We want to see Iowa beat Wisconsin. They are the only other 4-loss team in the Big Ten.
Michigan is another seed competitor. I will be rooting for Indiana against them. Sorry, Phil. (Everyone is reporting Mike Woodson won't be the coach next season. Every Indiana head coach since 1971, has been fired.)
We want Texas to beat Vanderbilt.
We want Marquette over Creighton.
We want Miami to beat Louisville, but they won't.
We want Texas A&M to beat Missouri.
We wouldn't mind if Minnesota beat Illinois.
We would like to beat Clemson, not that I can ever root for Duke.
LSU over Mississippi.
We want Texas Tech and Arizona to both lose, but since they are playing each other, we lean Arizona since we have a win over them.
