Another thing, the announcers referenced FAU's improbable first round win againts Memphis in the 2023 NCAA tournament. Memphis had the ball and the lead with less than 15 seconds left in the game, FAU had less than a 20% chance of winning, but the Hardaways turned it over, and May's Owls scored with less than 3 seconds left in the game.
If that doesn't happen, FAU doesn't go to the Final Four, and May doesn't get hired by Michigan, at least not for this year.
Little things can make a big difference.
