perhaps just laziness, half the time I have no idea who or what they are talking about. Just another example of the continuing degradation of the English language. Communicating is hard enough without throwing in these needless impediments to understanding one another. I don't know what happened on ESPN, but when one's job is communicating on the airwaves or media you would think they would be more circumspect with their language.
