So as we've chatted many times before in this forum, I play in a 40+yo basketball league. 90% of the time, teams play your basic 2-3 or 3-2 zone defense.
Some games, the speed n tempo seem fine to me and I'm able to dial in my shots from midrange and 3-pt perimeter. BUT there are some games where I feel like as Coach Cronin says the game was 'sped up' for me and I can't hit anything.
Is this a mental thing? Am I too anxious?
During non-game days, I go to the gym 3-4x/week and either play pickup or perform shooting drills. These drills consist of catch n shoot or shooting off the dribble.. so I'm basically challenging myself and not just taking my time to shoot spot up jumpers to simulate in-game shots.
Any recommendation would totally be appreciated!
