The crowd's clothing appeared to be bluer than what I'm used to seeing at UCLA football and (men's) hoops games.
I've long suspected that most of the seats that feature prominently as TV backdrop at men's hoops games, i.e., the most expensive and important seats, are owned by businesses -- which translates into, in general, tepid enthusiasm, or zero enthusiasm (unused, empty seats). That's a far from optimal look. Add in the fact that for decades now nearly every time the mean's hoops team makes the tourney they have to play in the east (in March!) -- which likewise translates into, in general, tepid enthusiasm, or zero enthusiasm (unused, empty seats). And now, since joining the B18, the hoops teams are burdened with horrific regular-season travel requirements.
What could possibly go wrong?
