we really don't know why he left. And, if you think Cronin isn't dedicated to maximizing every player's potential then you don't know about coaching. Coaches always strive for that, but they have to do that within the context of the team and what's best for the team. If Mara thought that Cronin wasn't committed to making him the best player possible (and that's a big if), then perhaps their respective definitions of how to make that happen differs. When I was 13 I thought I knew more than the coach. Later I realized how dumb that was. Kids can sometimes be their own worst enemy. I'm not saying Mara thought he knew more. I'm just responding to your conjecture. Maybe you're right, maybe I'm full of beans, maybe Mara had legitimate reasons to leave, maybe he didn't. We just don't know. What we do know is that he chose to leave while Cronin was prepared to sign him for another season.
