I mean, kinda. But if you watched Cronin’s interactions with the team during timeouts and from the sideline, it was clear that he wasn’t motivating or guiding the team, the way you’d expect from our coach. He screamed at Clark and Dent when they made mistakes in the 2nd half and never actually went to speak to them personally and, ya know, coach them. And he continuously sulked and rolled his eyes at his own players from start to finish. This is what Cronin does.
Coming into the 2nd half, he was interviewed for TV and made a snide remark about his team. I can’t imagine his players’ families enjoy that.
Anyway, the game felt more lopsided than it really was, and I give a ton of credit to Bilodeau and others for keeping it close.
