I don’ think CMC has had a 10 rebound a game player in his time at UCLA…closest was JJJ at just over 8. In fact, the last 10 per game guy I recall was Tommy Welsh. JMO, but Cronin’s D reduces the rebounding opportunities for bigs. There are two issues … 1) we do a fair amount of switching which takes the bigs away from the basket… 2) our bigs seem focused on screening the opposing big off the board and letting the forwards and guards hit the paint hard. I don’t really have a + or - opinion as long as we win. Just saying that if you parked a guy like Bona (or even Booker) in the paint, they would have a better shot at grabbing a few more boards.
