I agree. I’m still struggling to understand why many of the points NY raised don’t seem to apply to Tyler.

I mentioned on another board-possibly this one-that, as strange as it sounds given how special a player he is, I may almost be relieved when he moves on. Cronin has spent the last two seasons trying to crowbar him into his system, and to this point, it simply hasn’t worked. The effort is obvious, but the fit isn’t there. To me, it all comes back to the pieces around Tyler. With a strong, defense-minded center next to him, his responsibilities would be reduced and he’d have real support. He certainly wouldn’t be asked to guard the strongest post player on the opposing team night after night.

Watching college basketball night after night, I’m constantly seeing big, physical post players across the country, and it’s baffling that we weren’t able to land one. Last night it was Vanderbilt’s McGockton, before that it was Penn State’s Juric. Just seems like almost every team has a guy.
