Bilo is the top offensive weapon on this team. It's not even close as he averages a whopping 35% more pts/gm than his runner-up, Skyy. If your solution is to ignore that, get ready for Bruin fanatics to chase after you with pitchforks.

Moreover, as a senior, he's paid his dues and earned beau coup playing time in his preceding 3 seasons (2 at Oreg St) and last yr with CMC. I too view him as a below-avg low blocks defender, but his shortcomings are far more apparent at his force-fed C position than at his normal PF slot.

In addition, what he lacks in D ability, he doesn't exacerbate in terms of effort. This yr's low blocks contingent accompanying Bilo is inarguably more vulnerable on D than last yr's, which is clearly, to a large extent as you noted, on CMC. He lost Mara to Michigan and he lost Kyle to Syracuse. Neither of them were world beaters on the D end, but at least gave Bilo more complementary help. Their #s at Mich & Syracuse this yr dwarf ANY contributions from either Jamerson (at UCLA and San Diego) and Booker at (UCLA and MSU), as the latter two have not, in any way, distinguished themselves in terms of what they have brought in mins played, rebounds, blocks, PFs per mins played, not to mention, on the O end, points scored.

There's nothing on the roster that would translate to fewer mins for Bilo being a team-enhancing tradeoff. That particular cupboard in the Bruin's kitchen is comparatively empty.
