down, don't experiment with drugs, and try to be respectable with everyone in your life (that keeps you from being angry all the time and helps keep BP down). By staying active, I played basketball till I was 50 (also did some coaching on the side) played over a thousand rounds of golf for 60 years till I was 89 and never used a cart, always walked--wife did the same when she played.

And lots of luck involved. I've driven thousands of miles across country and never had an accident or a traffic ticket. Lots of luck involved there. And yes, I haven't drank anything with alcohol in it since I was in my late 30s. Stuff didn't agree with a hiatal hernia I have, even though I liked beer a lot back then (especially the German beer that I drank when stationed in Germany after the war). So I just quit drinking anything with alcohol in it and no hiatal hernia problems since.

Mentally, I build my own computers, set up my own home theater systems, do a lot of video and photo digital editing, design and build my own stereo speakers and help neighbors troubleshoot their systems when they have problems. And when I want a break from my electronic interests, I also do a lot of abstract painting (acrylic paint pouring) and a lot of stained glass art pieces favoring Southwestern subjects. And if I get bored with any of those things, there is always Bruin Zone to get on. I've been here since the late 90s but don't post nearly as much as I used to. Also watch a ton of college basketball with Mrs Traprh.

One last note. I was the first borne of 4 brothers and twin sisters. All have had serious health issues during their lives. I've been fortunate in that I haven't. They always told me that when I was born, I received all of the good good genes and they got what was left :-)). Regarding diet, both wife and I eat what we want, no particular diet or restrictions. But we don't over eat and that's necessary to keep our weights down at good levels. We do eat a lot more fish and chicken though than beef or pork.

And now, as Paul Harvey used to say (no relation by the way), "Now you know the rest of the story".
